Activism
Pagan have rites too!
Links Sort by: Hits | AlphabeticalFIRE: Pagans Fighting Religious Discrimination http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/5883/ Web site of an American pagan activist group, with news, self-protection advice, a listing of anti-Pagan hate crimes, and more. Unfortunately, it does not appear to have been updated in nearly two years. Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance http://www.religioustolerance.org/ I suppose this may fall more into the category of public education than activism as such, but it is certainly dedicated to fighting bigotry and supporting religious rights for everyone. Excellent information on a wide variety of religions, including many pagan and magical ones. This site's extreme popularity has been a mixed blessing, as it has led to them experiencing ongoing financial problems due to out-of-control hosting costs, and the site is now plastered with ads as a result. But the content is still superb if you can make it past the ads, and if enough people join their new donation plan, maybe the ads will go away... Witches' League for Public Awareness http://www.celticcrow.com/ An organization devoted to speaking out against negative portrayals of Wicca in the media - based in Salem, Massachusetts, ironically enough! The information on the site is spotty in terms of accuracy (no, "witchcraft" is not a Celtic word!), but it does manage to get the main points across.
